Evening Jaunt

Took a little drive to where Santa's Elves are hard at work, the kids were so excited to see the North Pole haha.

Watched my daughter help the kids build a gingerbread house. The walls and roof fell down the first try, but now it seems to be holding ground. Waiting for the icing to dry before decorating it.

Think I will get the rest of my Christmas cards ready for tomorrow's mail and then play with my new electronic labeler, woot woot!

I received a lovely card from my sis-in-law today. She recently loss her husband this fall, so was kinda surprised that she even sent one my way. How thoughtful of her and totally not expected under the circumstances. Will have to make a point to go and visit her soon.

Still looking online to find shopping bargains tonight. Need to buy two more gifts!

Errands

Drove to the post office and back home. Mailed all my packages, but forgot to grab the Christmas cards that are ready to mail. Will need to work on a few more later.

Got papers from sale of house on 12/15, it sold for balance owed. Nice!

Also heard from potential C4D buyer on other house, they want to look at the inside. Will have to wait until middle of February when I can be there to show them. Woohoo, hope they are serious!!!

Got everything I need to finish my daughter's wedding invitations in the mail today, so happy about this. Now to just get motivated on them.

Target.com has a great DVD deal today!  $1 plus free shipping on the movie "My One and Only".  I purchased 4 of them and will give each one of my daughters one and one for myself.  Not giving my son one, because it would be too foofoo for him.

Early to rise!

Grandson is off to school!  Need to find the right size box to fit the item I sold on eBay over the weekend, not going to be easy because it is an odd size.  Have a few more christmas cards to address and mail today too and another package from an eBay sale, but that one is already to go.  Not sure where else to start today??  Try and organize computer room or work on addressing wedding envelopes/printing wedding invitations, hmmm decisions, decisions.  Think while I have the energy, I should work on computer room and do wedding stuff later tonight since its a sit-down job.  Oh, almost forgot, need to find a padded envelope to mail in my gold for cash!  Excited to see what its all worth!!!

Almost Christmas!

It's been almost a year since I posted on my newfound blog entry.  No time like the present.  I have much to do today AGAIN, no surprise!  My grandson has his Christmas program today and I need to get him dressed in red and green before school.  I gave him a tie that has a snowman on it and play jingle bells when the button is pushed.  He is excited this morning!  I'm not too adapt to tieing a tie, so I will have to wake up his step-dad to do this task.

First Time Blogger

Well now, this is exciting!  My very own blog or back in my day, called a diary.  Come to think of it, I never kept a diary not even as a child.  Is wondering if that is normal?  Normal to me, but maybe not to others.  Interesting concept though!

I was first enlightened by the fascination of blogging after watching the movie "Julie & Julia" a few years back.  Enjoyed the movie immensely!  I so remember watching Julia Child's on television growing up, not so much the cooking or the food, mostly her demeanor.  She made sipping wine and cooking look so glamorous.

I think I'm going to enjoy this "blogging".  I still have to laugh at the word blog, blogger, blogging.  Who on earth comes up with these silly web terms?  The first time I ever heard the word "blog", I wanted to say, "gesundheit".

Here's to my new adventure in blogging, as Julia would say, "bon appetit".
